Bernie, the owner, being English, no X-mas is complete without the famous Stilton.
This one came directly from England and it was delicious... particularly after it stood for 2 hours on the buffet table at more than 30C - soft and creamy, with biscuit.... I loved it.
Well, my last week at Garonga was pretty hectic, between celebrating New Year, handing over the work, a farewell party, packing my stuff... But I had to spend 1 night in a tented room at the lodge. What a nice feeling, to be a guest rather than an employee!! Very comfortable bed, very good service ;-), all in all a great lodge.
